Rather than selectively showcasing only certain projects, we encourage visitors to explore the planning applications we have submitted through the relevant local authority planning portals. Virtually all of the work we undertake comes through word of mouth and client recommendation, something we believe reflects the quality of our service and the relationships we build with our clients.
East Devon District Council provides a searchable online database where you can view the full range of applications we have been involved with. You can search for any architectural practice or planning consultancy by entering their name within the “Agent” search field. This can also provide a useful insight into the volume of applications a company actually submits, as opposed to projects that may appear within a design portfolio but do not ultimately proceed to planning submission, gain approval, or get built. While some firms may present strong portfolios of design concepts, successful planning outcomes and appeal decisions are often a more meaningful measure of experience and effectiveness.
Some other councils like Dorset, Somerset and Mid Devon, do not currently offer the same level of search functionality. However, we would be pleased to provide individual application references for projects within these areas on request, allowing you to view the applications directly through the relevant council websites.
